Meet Dr. Fariha Haque
Dr. Fariha Haque is a highly trained clinician who pairs technical precision with a gentle, compassionate approach to care. Her philosophy centers on open communication and building trust, which she believes are the foundations of any successful patient-doctor partnership. By ensuring that every individual feels heard and well-informed about their oral health, Dr. Haque empowers her patients to feel confident and in control of their dental care. Whether you’re coming in for routine care or returning after time away, her goal is to meet you where you are and help you move forward comfortably.
Dr. Haque earned her Bachelor of Science in Biology from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, a Master of Science in Physiology from North Carolina State University, and her Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) from the UNC Adams School of Dentistry. She further honed her skills through a rigorous General Practice Residency at The Brooklyn Hospital Center, receiving advanced training in a wide range of restorative, aesthetic, and emergency dental procedures. Her community involvement has been a meaningful part of her professional journey, including overseeing a dental clinic for refugees in North Carolina’s Triangle region. Dedicated to providing the highest standard of care, Dr. Haque regularly pursues continuing education to stay current with the latest techniques and advancements in dental medicine. She remains committed to upholding her values by delivering high-quality, individualized care to every patient she treats.
Beyond Brooklyn Oak Dental, Dr. Haque loves concerts and live music, enjoys being a foodie trying new restaurants and cuisines, and is always excited to keep cheering on the NY Liberty! Meet Dr. Adenike Akapo
General Dentist
Dr. Akapo is a skilled and compassionate general dentist committed to providing high-quality, patient-centered care. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Biology from Bard College before pursuing a Master of Science in Biomaterials Science at New York University. During her graduate studies, she conducted extensive head and neck clinical research at the NYU Translational Research Center, deepening her understanding of complex dental and medical conditions.
Dr. Akapo then earned her Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) from NYU College of Dentistry, followed by an Advanced Education in General Dentistry (AEGD) residency at NYU Langone Health. Through this rigorous postdoctoral training, she gained advanced expertise in comprehensive full-mouth rehabilitation and complex restorative treatments.
Passionate about bridging healthcare disparities, Dr. Akapo actively volunteers in underserved communities throughout New York City, providing oral health education and outreach. She is dedicated to creating a welcoming and comfortable environment for her patients, particularly those with dental anxiety, and prioritizes evidence-based, culturally sensitive care. Her experience across multiple dental specialties has strengthened her diagnostic acumen and reinforced her commitment to building meaningful patient relationships.
Outside of dentistry, Dr. Akapo enjoys hiking, reading, and staying informed about the latest advancements in dental technology to ensure her patients receive the best care possible.
Meet Dr. Fara Vossughi, DDS
Implant Specialist
Dr. Fara Vossughi, DDS, MS, is a highly accomplished periodontist and implant dentistry specialist with over two decades of experience in advanced periodontal care and implant dentistry. Licensed in New York, Dr. Vossughi is known for her empathetic approach, meticulous treatment planning, and advanced skills in all phases of dental implants, periodontal surgery, and regenerative techniques.
A graduate of Columbia University’s School of Dental Medicine with both DDS and Master’s degrees in Periodontics, Dr. Vossughi has been a faculty member in Columbia’s Postgraduate Periodontics Program since 2014. She has earned prestigious honors, including the American Academy of Periodontology Educator Award and the Allan Formicola Teaching Award.
